John has a passion for creating. Whether the medium is wood, metal, words or musical notes, his passion drives him to create. When discussing his favorite hobbies, his wife likes to joke "they are all his favorite."

John's passion for woodworking stemmed from childhood, building whatever he could out of scraps. This love has driven him to build everything from rough construction to fine detailed works like guitars.

John developed his passion for music and songwriting after picking up his first guitar as an adult. From that first strum, he was hooked. Hardly a day goes by that the guitar does not find it's way into his hands.

Most recently, John has been revisiting drawing and has published a book of 3-D mazes with another book in development.

In 2020, John diecided he needed an outlet to showcase his varied hobbies so he started his YouTube channel eyeheywhy.
